1947
Since there was a lack of artificial teeth due to World War II , some Dutch dental technicians in 1947 decided to establish a tooth manufacturing company, initially called: "N.V. Eerste Nederlandse Tandenfabriek E.N.T.A. 1947". The company started with the production of porcelain anterior and posterior teeth.
1959
In 1959 acrylic teeth were added to the production range.
1981
In 1981 a significant change took place, resulting in the start of sales of oral hygiene products under the Lactona label.
1982
In 1982 the production of Lactona products was transferred from the USA to Bergen op Zoom in the Netherlands.
1988
During the year 1988 Enta BV proudly introduced the Optiform posteriors, to be used for the Lingualized Occlusion concept. Prof. Dr. W. Kalk, a professor of prosthetic dental surgery at the University of Groningen, has substantially contributed to this introduction.
1999
After many years of successful co-operation under the name "Enta-Lactona B.V." (1981-1999), the decision was made to divide the business in two companies:
